To make sure your telescope is ready, here are a few friendly requirements:

Have a clear view of the Sky

You’ll need a good spot with a wide, open view free from trees, rooftops, and bright lights if possible. The darker is your sky, the better SkyBridge can track and capture celestial events for testing and data validation. A backyard, open field, or quiet park is ideal.

Light pollution is important

Artificial light from street lamps, houses, or city glow makes it harder to see faint objects. The clearer your horizon, the better SkyBridge can track and capture celestial events for testing and data validation. 

Be sure your telescope is on stable ground

Your telescope should sit on solid, steady ground or a firm deck. Vibration-free placement is key for accurate SkyBridge data collection, it helps us refine our AI-assisted tracking and image stabilization systems.

Reliable Power and Internet

Since you’ll be helping us test live network features, your setup should have consistent Wi-Fi and power access. SkyBridge connects your telescope to the SkyMapper network, where your observations contribute directly to software tuning and blockchain validation.

Have a curious and collaborative spirit

You’ll be part of our science and software shaping team, testing new tools, giving feedback, and maybe even trying our first interactive astronomy game. We’ll guide you through setup, updates, and early missions — your input helps refine the product before launch.
